August Blog
August was such an amazing month. So much happened! Early August saw the official release of ‘To Dawn’, the sequel in ‘The Vampire Hunter Prophecy’ series. It was a very surreal moment when I went and saw the girls at InHouse Publishing and collected the printed copies. Publishing a book is such a team effort. I have to say a big thank you to the team at InHouse Publishing for helping me make my second dream a reality. Shortly after the release of the print version, the eBook was made available. So, head to Amazon/Kindle to check it out.
After the release of ‘To Dawn’, it gave me the opportunity to sit back and reflect on how this all started. It was on the 10th August 2006, while travelling through the United Kingdom and Ireland, that my husband and I, quite by accident, stumbled across a quaint little town in Perthshire, Scotland, called Dunkeld. While there, we discovered Dunkeld Cathedral. I instantly fell in love with the place. Little did I know at the time, how inspirational it would be, when a few years later, I started writing ‘From Dusk’, and it became the setting of my story.
To finish off the month of August, I celebrated my birthday. Not only did I receive some wonderful gifts and a few surprises, I was able to spend time with family and friends.
So, on that note, I am going to sign off for this month. Make sure you go and check out ‘To Dawn’.
Until next time …
